Westchester’s Legendary Nursing Education
Founded in 1894 at St. John’s Riverside Hospital, the Cochran School of Nursing is the oldest hospital-based school of nursing in the metropolitan region.  The School offers a Registered Nurse (RN) curriculum leading to the degree of Associate in Applied Science. To date, there are over 150 students enrolled in the professional nursing program.

In 1999 there were no more than 50 students enrolled and now the school proudly counts more than 2,500 graduates who have served patients and health care throughout the United States and around the world.  Due to our growth the school has grown its website which enables applicants to quickly complete on line forms, applications, and surveys.

The Cochran School of Nursing is currently registered with the State of New York Education Department and is fully accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN).
