Our Oncology department is staffed with the area’s leading physicians as well as a dedicated staff of certified nurses. They provide a variety of new cancer treatment procedures using the latest cancer care treatment technology. We provide oncology surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy treatment as well as several other modalities for our patients.
As a courtesy to our oncology patients, St. John's Riverside Hospital provides the services of a Patient Navigator. Your navigator serves as a proactive guide to help you “navigate” all available necessary information from the professional and supportive staff as well as community resources that will make the journey to recovery more understandable and positive. They also provide assistance in obtaining medical records from other facilities, as well as making timely appointments for your tests and physician exams.

2014 Cancer Program News
The St. John’s Riverside Hospital (SJRH) Lung Screening Program is a service offered in the community of Westchester allowing for early cancer detection using CT Scanning. This low-dose scanning technique allows radiologists to detect tumors and nodules (masses less that 3mm) that chest x-ray machines are unable to detect. Early screenings of your lungs increase the chances of early lung cancer detection allowing for more successful treatments. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, over 160,000 people die each year from lung cancer.1 To learn more about our Lung Screening and how to enroll in the program, call the Central Scheduling Department at (914) 964-4329.
