New Director of the Dietary Department

Joanne began her St. John’s Riverside Hospital career two years ago as Assistant Director of Dietary for Patient Care Services. This accomplishment has been paved by many years of education and experience in the dietary field. Joanne received a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics (Cum Laude) from the University of Rhode Island; M.S. in Clinical Nutrition (Cum Laude) from New York Medical College; and most recently another B.S. in Nursing (Cum Laude) from Dominican College.
Joanne has utilized her vast collegiate accomplishments as Chief Clinical Dietitian at St. Cabrini Nursing Home (Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.); Food Service Director at Andrus on Hudson Retirement Community (Hastings-on-Hudson, N.Y.); and Clinical Nutrition Manager at Four Winds Hospital (Katonah, N.Y.). Since 1982 Joanne has owned a Nutritional Consultant Private Practice where she educates and counsels patients on prescribed therapeutic diets, conducts nutrient analysis for preschool menus and develops age appropriate educational tools. She has also taught as an Adjunct Nutrition Professor at Westchester Community College.
