St. John's Riverside Hospital's Institute for Health, Education and Research and the Department of Holistic Care are offering an Aromatherapy Workshop. The workshop will be on Monday, June 11, 2012 from 8:30am – 3:30pm. This workshop will introduce you to the safe and therapeutic use of essential oils (aromatherapy). There will be seven specific oils taught including how and when to use them as well as when to avoid their use. Aromatherapy research shows that it can be useful to reduce pain, anxiety, insomnia and stress. It can also reduce agitation and nausea. The instructor will be Gayle Newshan, PhD, NP, Director of Holistic Care who is a certified aromatherapist.
Pre-registration is required. The cost of this workshop is $75.00 and $50.00 for students & seniors. Class will be held at St. John's Riverside Hospital; Andrus Pavilion; 967 North Broadway; Yonkers, N.Y. 10701 on 8 West.
