If you or someone close to you has been diagnosed with Parkinson's, you probably have quite a few questions to ask. To help inform people about Parkinson’s disease, The Riverside Parkinson’s Support Group offers counseling and support to people with Parkinson’s disease, their family members and their caretakers. The Riverside Parkinson’s Support Group meets the second Friday of the month free of charge from 10:00am – 12:00pm.  The meetings are held in Room 111 at St. John’s Riverside Hospital; Andrus Pavilion; 967 North Broadway; Yonkers, N.Y. 10701.

The Riverside Parkinson’s Group also sponsors an exercise class for Parkinson’s patients and their families. The class meets every Thursday from 11:15am – 12:15pm at the American Legion Hall, 215 Farragut Avenue in Hastings.  Please call for details. The class is held by an exercise physiologist and there is a $10 per-week charge.
