With an expanded Emergency Department, one of the area's newest cardiac catheterization labs, highly trained cardiologists and other clinical staff, a new 64-slice CT scanner and enhanced telemetry (cardiac monitoring) capability, St. John's Riverside Hospital is dedicated to caring for the heart of our community. Our care providers are ready and well-equipped to diagnose and treat patients experiencing chest pain, shortness of breath and other symptoms that often are symptoms of cardiovascular problems.
St. John's is also a designated Stroke Center.
The Hospital opened its state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization laboratory in mid 2009, approved by the New York State Department of Health to perform diagnostic procedures. The new cath lab, which is one of only two such facilities in Westchester County, draws on the resources and expertise of the world-renowned Mt. Sinai Heart Center. This affiliation with one of the country's most esteemed academic medical centers also provides patients at St. John s Riverside Hospital with access to Mt. Sinai's extensive clinical research programs.
